This thread is to give everyone general information about the tournament team. I'll try to outline our general purpose and other miscellaneous stuff as well as rules, so if you have any questions, reference this thread.
General Purpose The MTSU Tournament Paintball Team exists to represent the University in the sport of paintball at nation-wide events, both collegiate and otherwise.
Team Members 1. Clay Almonrode 2. John Edmondson 3. Taylor Fox 4. Rebekah Gast 5. Joe Hibbitts 6. Jesse Keogh 7. Cory Bobo
General Information The Tournament team meets to discuss various things (ex. Tournament schedules, fundraising ideas, practice schedules, practice discussion and ideas, etc). All members who are able to attend meetings are expected to do so. Meetings are announced in the team forum.
So far, individual costs only include purchasing equipment, gas to/from the practice field/tournaments, and hotel rooms at overnight events. Assuming a player were to already own his/her own equipment and carpool to practice, costs would be: $100 to acquire team pants/jersey, and around $50-$70 per event to cover Travel and hotel costs. Paint and entry fees to events should be covered by the university allocated funds.

Tournament Team Rules1. General - Tournament Team Members will represent the University at all times during practice and at events.
- Suspension from a tournament league means indefinite suspension from the tournament team.
- Markers may not be modified in any illegal way.
- No unsafe equipment will be allowed to be used with the Tournament Team.
- All field rules and personnel will be respected.
- All meetings will be attended if you are in town and available.
- Tournament Team members are expected to attend Rec Events as staff.
2. Practice Rules - All tournament members will attend all scheduled practices. If you must miss a practice, let an officer know at least 24 hours in advance. If you must miss for a determined valid reason you will not be penalized.
- Unexcused missed practices or Referee days will result in a player not being allowed to play the next event. Determination of the number missed will be based on time between events and number of practices. You will still be expected to practice and attend the event as staff.
- Tournament members will arrive at practice with their gear in operating condition. If something is broken that you could have fixed beforehand, that practice will count as an unexcused, missed practice.
3. Tournament rules - All tournament members are expected to have all of their equipment in peak working order the night before the event.
- All referee's decisions will be respected. Any disagreements will be brought to the team/field captain.

what's up fellas? my name is david and i am extremely interested in this team. i am a louisiana native; my family moved up here about 3 years ago, and i'm appluing to mtsu. i have the well above the required grades and scores to get in so hopefully i will be attending this fall. i've been playing paintball for 9 almost 10 years, tournys for 5 almost 6. i've pretty much been playing half my life and ive loved every second of it. i would love some more information on this team and how to be a part of it. whether it practices, scrimages, whatever.
thanks

Hello David,
We will be having tryouts next semester and will only be looking to fill a very limited number of slots. Our season and practices are over for the year, but if you stick around the forums and you might get to play some random local events with some of the team during the summer.
Otherwise, just be sure to get in touch with us next semester and we will keep everyone up to date on tryouts and we would love to see ya out on the field.
let me know if you have any other questions
Joe

Hi my name is Ty Costello and i was excited to see you guys have a site now. i was wondering how i can get into practicing with you guys. I don't make a lot of money but i can at least i can come play once or twice. i have been playing pb for 4 years now off and on just playing rec ball. But to tell you the truth paintball is my drug of choice lol. so if i can come practice or play or just support the team on the sidelines. Just let me know. do you guys have any fan apparel because i will definitely wear the stuff out if i can get some. Just email me back or something let me know. I will be attending MT in the fall so maybe ill see you guys on campus. Thanks Ty
